The NWOAL would like to express our sympathy at the unthinkable tragedy that took place in Hamler Wednesday morning. Our hearts are heavy as we along with the Wensink family and friends say goodbye to two of our own.

Liberty Center's former football coach, Rex Lingruen, will be entering the Ohio High School Football Coaches Hall of Fame Friday in Columbus. Congratulations Coach Lingruen!!!
The final scoring has been tabulated and Evergreen’s Evan Lumbrezer beat Swanton’s Nic Borojevich by 6 points to win the boys 🏀 league scoring title.
Lumbrezer has now won back to back titles, becoming the first multi-time scoring champ since Swanton’s Bryce McComb in 2014-16.

The NWOAL has added Randy Roberts to the role of NWOAL publicist. Randy is a veteran of over 20 years in NW Ohio media.
He replaces Bill Bray, who served over 7 years as the NWOAL publicist.
After an exciting night in NWOAL Girls Basketball, Archbold, Bryan and Wauseon have a three-way tie for the NWOAL championship. Congratulations to all three schools.

Bryan's Nate Miller's seven touchdown passes eclipses the NWOAL record previously held by Archbold's Garrett Morton (2010) with six touchdown passes on two different occasions.
"The NWOAL voted unanimously to approve girls golf as an official NWOAL sport for the 21/22 school year. NWOAL girls golf teams will compete for an official NWOAL championship and individual league awards at Auglaize Golf Course in Defiance, Ohio on Friday September 24th."
All-League Softball Annouced

One league record is in danger of being broken tonight. If Liberty Center holds Delta to under 13 points, the Tigers will set a new mark for points allowed in a 7 game league season.
Two league players earned Division III All-Ohio girls basketball status today. Wauseon’s Marisa Seiler was named to the second team while Evergreen’s Bekah Bowser was named honorable mention.
"After further review" the league's leading rusher should have been pubished as Liberty Center's Zach Bowers. Bowers, with his 203 yard rushing performance against Evergreen, moved ahead of Evergreen's Hunter Van Wert.
The leading receiver in the NWOAL through four weeks is Evergreen's Chandler Lumbrezer. Lumbrezer has hauled in 14 passes for 205 yards and three touchdowns. Lumbrezer has crossed the goal line three times.
Congratulations to Wauseon's Gavin Ritter for reaching the 100 win plateau in his wrestling career! He joins team mate Alex Sosa who accomplished the feat earlier in the season.

Swanton Junior Aricka Lutz scored five goals as the Lady Bulldogs rallied from an early 2-0 deficit to defeat the Lady Vikings of Evergreen 7-2 in a home league game Thursday.
Five league soccer players earned all-Ohio honors. In girls soccer, Bryan’s Ella Voigt was named to the second team in D2. In D3, Archbold’s Leah McQuade and Delta’s Ella Demaline were named to the second team.

With Archbold’s boys soccer win over Bryan and Delta and Evergreen ending in a tie, Archbold wins the league title by one point over Delta and two points over Evergreen.
Wauseon wins D2 District
The Wauseon Indians captured a Division II District Championship Thursday night at Bluffton College. The Lady Indians (20-5) defeated the Defiance Lady Bulldogs 3-1 to advance to the Division II Regional Tournament November 1 at Lexington High School.
Liberty Center and Patrick Henry know their sites and opponents for football state semifinals.

Wauseon’s Braden Vajen was named boys D2 2nd team. Bryan’s Ella Voigt was named girls 2nd team.
Evergreen’s Tyson Woodring was named boys D3 1st team. Delta’s Ella Demaline and Evergreen’s Raegan Radel were named girls 2nd team
In the final event of the season for our league athletes, Bryan’s Joshuah Taylor placed second by making a strong move the final lap, to finish the 3200 in 9:16.49. Wauseon’s Hunter Wasnich finished 17th in 9:53.76.
So Keegan Brown did this thing yesterday that happened to be 181’6” long! What a competitor! He dreamed it, believed it and worked HARD for it.... that the recipe for success in any endeavor.
