@NatParnell I agree. No banter would be a utopia for my place. And I know I shouldn’t lower myself but it’s survival. Showing that I’m hurt or angry just isn’t an option. No way I’m giving them the satisfaction. They respect some kind of comeback. Until then, this is how I deal with it.

Just when I think I’ve had enough of this job, I have a nice class or even a challenging one decide to behave. And I can actually TEACH them. It’s like a drug. New headteacher from Easter tho. Maybe this is our new start? I’d love to be able to see it through out of S/Ms.🤞

Teachers. Putting the logistics aside, just imagine if you took a video of your average day and showed it to a non teacher. Do you think they’d be surprised?

@tsaw140482 Sorry you’ve had that experience. I can only talk for myself. I’d never lie in a professional capacity personally and I always apologise if I get things wrong. Had to do that yesterday. In a private capacity I certainly tell white lies…😅

@RachelFairfiel1 Thinking about it, I recon we lie a lot more than kids do or our lies are significantly worse. The issue with a small number of parents is falling into the ‘my child doesn’t lie’ trap. I’ve been there myself tbh. I’m not having a go at all parents btw. It’s very hard.

So many accounts now spreading hate about trans people. I have 2 late teen daughters. I have absolutely no fear over their rights or safety from trans people. What I fear is cis men (it’s just a prefix, chill) as know first hand the level of misogyny among so many of them.
