Marketing teams used cinema terms instead of consumer when 4k (actually 2160p) became a thing, but they're not actually the same resolution. Cinema terms are usually only used for 4k+

We use cinema terms above 1440p just because of marketing, a 4k screen isn't actually 4k resolution, it's 2160p.
