Always great work by @Hedayah_CVE
A recap of Hedayah's Side Event: "Advancing Global Rehabilitation and Reintegration Efforts", particularly in relation to the Al-Hol and Al-Roj camps in Syria, on the margins of the 79th Session of the UN General Assembly and The Global Counter Terrorism Forum. This event was co-hosted with the US @StateDeptCT , The EU @EU_Commission , and the UK @FCDOGovUK , Who are steadfast supporters of Hedayah. The session highlighted valuable learnings from Hedayah's global and regional rehabilitation and reintegration projects, and during the session, Hedayah launched our latest toolkit, designed to support the rehabilitation and reintegration of minors. By bringing together government officials, practitioners, and policymakers, the event provided a platform to share insights and address the complex challenges related to repatriation, rehabilitation, and reintegration, with a focus on Northeast Syria. Hedayah emphasised various support mechanisms that can assist countries in effectively rehabilitating and reintegrating individuals returning from these camps, ultimately aiming for long-term community resilience. Hedayah is looking forward to continued collaboration, and shared efforts to counter extremism and violent extremism and enhance resilience around the world, including our upcoming Research Conference and Communications Expo, in London from 29 October to 1 November. #Hedayah #UNGA79 #Rehabilitation #Reintegration #CommunityResilience @eu_eeas
