What is your favourite film that reminds you of your favourite director, but WASNโT directed by your favourite director. Mine is โCharadeโ which I think is the best Hitchcock film that Hitchcock never directed.
Sean Connery, Ursula Andress, Eunice Gayson and Zena Marshall in a promotional still for โDr Noโ, which makes the film look like a romantic comedy.

Itโs kind of weird to think that I was in my early teens when Daniel Craig became Bond. I suppose thatโs why heโs my favourite along with Dalton and Connery. I grew up with him as my big screen Bond. I couldnโt have asked for better.

So I have COVID again. This is just appalling. For those of you who donโt want to wear a mask or donโt want to get the vaccine, take a long walk off a short pier.
RIP

one of the best actors you could hope for in a multitude of films. Everything I watch him showcased his versatility and craft. A massive loss in so many ways.
Okay so now that Joanna Lumley is a Dame and Daniel Craig is a CMG, could Timothy Dalton please be made a CBE or knighted? I mean heโs been acting for almost 60 years!
Day 1: Favourite Bond
Timothy Dalton. He is the Bond of Flemingโs books. Hard, tragic and extremely cold at times, but also vulnerable & desiring of human connection.

Which Roger Moore
#JamesBond
film is your favourite and which one do you think is his best?
My favourite is โThe Spy Who Loved Meโ and I also think itโs his best, although For Your Eyes Only (parrot antics notwithstanding) is a hairโs breadth behind in terms of his best.
Which Sean Connery
#JamesBond
film is your favourite, and which one do you think is his best?
My favourite is โYou Only Live Twiceโ, and the one I think is his best is โGoldfingerโ.
THE LIVING DAYLIGHTS (1987) one of my favourite Bond films. Dalton is so wonderfully fresh after the Moore era. The plot is wonderfully complex & compelling, with Maryam dโAbo a lovely Bond girl. Great stunts & a brilliant theme song. Just everything a Bond film should be.
Which
#JamesBond
film starring Pierce Brosnan is your favourite, and which one do you think is his best?
For me โThe World Is Not Enoughโ fits the bill for both. Brosnan looks his best, gives his most accomplished & rounded performance as Bond & his chemistry with Marceau is ๐ค๐ป
Sean Connery
#BOTD
The OG James Bond who did so much to define and realise the character on film for many generations.
โLooks like you're out to get me.โ

What Bond movie do you enjoy the most? Itโs not your favourite, but it fills you with joy when you watch it?
For me itโs THE SPY WHO LOVED ME. Itโs definitely in my top 5 Bond films, but itโs not my favourite Bond film. However, itโs just such a joy to watch.
I have a confession to make. I know many of you will want to unfollow me or murder me over it. Thatโs fine. Although Iโd like to live.
Although I really like ITโS A WONDERFUL LIFE a lot, I love CHRISTMAS IN CONNECTICUT more.
RIP to Brian Dennehy, an actor who was a firm fixture of my childhood and beyond thanks to his brilliant movie and TV work. I never saw him give a bad performance.
Which Daniel Craig
#JamesBond
film is your favourite and which one do you think is his best?
Itโs Skyfall on both counts for me. Craig hits his stride so perfectly & the script is very well written. CR is just behind in terms of his best.
Happiest of heavenly birthdays to one of my favourite directors
TERENCE FISHER
His contribution to Hammer and the larger horror community is incalculable. He showed that horror could be colourful & beautifully lit, but still sinister & sexy. Four of my faves:
