video games and school are at opposite ends of 2 spectrums. the cosine similarity btwn the goal of a video game and the incentives they produce is basically 1. the cosine similarity btwn the goal of school (to learn) and the incentives they produce (memorize or else dot dot dot) is basically -1. the absolute usefulness of the goal of a video game is basically 0 while it’s very high for school. making school fun, i.e. having school approach video games on the “alignment” continuum is the future. school used to be a privilege bc of how high on the usefulness continuum it was, but also bc it was the highest activity on the alignment continuum. but now there’s more fun things to do with ur time so it rly takes someone with a good head on their shoulders to delete tiktok, all video games and lock. the fck. in.

consuming should motivate production. producing should motivate consumption. however the cycle is broken rn bc consuming motivates more consumption.
