This is happening because of ancient hindu beliefs regarding marriage... It doesn't apply to modern day and it violates article 14,15,19,21 and even 25 since equality, freedom, liberty and freedom of religion are Mandatory, so imposing an ancient practice is also a violation.

I am going a divorce myself... The divorce laws in India are the main reason people are getting scared, though it's a small fraction but more and more people that I know are considering live-in relationships, so they can just walk out in case of a conflict or have no children.
