I've been trying to get consistent with DS & ML. I've heard peer learning helps so thinking of creating a small group (4-5 folks) with similar ambitions to push each other out of our comfort zones. We'll read papers, build projects, and work on our skills 🤜🤛
Together we lead🚀
While talking to a friend today, I realized that learning ML/DS can be quite overwhelming. I often want quick results, but it's like making a good cup of coffee—you need to grind it well. So, yeah take ur time. Keep hustling & stay patient. With time, you'll definitely get there.
Day 2,3,4 of ML
-> Learnt about perceptron trick and loss functions
-> Perceptron is just a mathematical model which can be also used to implement logistic reg, linear reg, softmax reg, etc with appropriate activation and loss functions.
-> Solved some SQL problems
-> Oops in py
started diving into machine translation after reading this paper on NMT, crazy how statistics can revolutionize the things around us.
wrote a blog about it, not perfect but getting there. check it out:
I hate it so much when I follow the tutorial as it is and it still throws error, then I spend hours debugging it only to find out it's all because of some version upgrade 😭
Things I learnt from

Planning is key!
🎯 It's crucial to set realistic goals as it helps build confidence.
🎯 Setting goals for the next few years is super important.
(P.S. I know I'm late 🥲)
Discovered DataLemur () today and it's a game-changer for SQL prep. Top-notch questions, clear explanations, and engaging, human-like writing.
Huge thanks to
@NickSinghTech
for this gem—truly grateful!
Day 9,10,11 of ML
-> Learnt about Dropout layers, batch normalization, activation functions, optimizers, biological reference of CNNs
-> 3 DSA problems
-> Revised and had an insightful discussion on GD and regression with
@AarishAlam17
🤜🤛
Day 6,7,8 of ML
-> learnt about mlp, backpropagation in depth, implemented it
-> vanishing gradient problem in neural networks
-> did some DSA
been quite unproductive lately, will get back on track soon
Give me just one good reason for putting up with this torture (except marks in internals) 😔
BTW, does your college make you write code on paper too?

Finally completed my Power BI dashboard for the Olympics data analysis! It took a lot of time, a ton of patience, and plenty of trial and error, but I'm thrilled with how it turned out. Excited to share the insights I've uncovered!
Day 1:
-> Read about perceptrons and tried implementing it on the iris dataset, check out the graphs (pretty basic stuff, meh)
-> Solved 2 DSA problems
-> Solved 2 SQL problems
-> Read 2 pages from 'The Hard Thing About Hard Things'
Could've done more :)
🚀5 key questions for crafting high-impact designs
1️⃣ Is my screen's purpose crystal clear?
2️⃣ How many CTAs on one screen?
3️⃣ Am I using too many fonts?
4️⃣ What catches my eye when I squint?
5️⃣ Is the initial step super simple?

Bhai my teammate just pasted 'If "Cortex" is a new development within Unity post-2022, I might not have specific information about it....(the whole freaking para)' from chatgpt in the ppt and used different fonts everywhere.
I have to redo everything 😭
Ugh, just finished my final practical today, and now the professors want us to do presentations online, starting tomorrow. We had exams before Diwali as well.
Godd just let us chill for a bit 😩
I'm like super annoyed, dude. What's the deal with these CRST and UHV exams? Sure,show us how to do it in real life, I'm cool with that. But, define critical reasoning? Come on!

Nice, but don't use sigmoid in the hidden layers as it causes vanishing gradient problem and you can see the loss fn became stagnant here
🌐 Jakob's Law - the secret to user-centered design! It tells us that users prefer websites that work like others they already know. Let's explore how this law shapes superior user experiences in the digital world.

This is soooooo truee
Ever since I started diving into ML and began exploring stats, probab and stuff, I've realised how beautiful and powerful mathematics is!
If you’re good at Math, there’s a very chance that you’ll be good at any skill in life that requires you to think.
If I could go back to school and invest my time in just 1 skill, I would invest it on getting stronger at Math.
