The more I think about this

chapter the more I love it. Lucius can't use Soul Magic on Asta due to Anti-Magic, so he goes for hand-to-hand combat but Asta's now on par with Lucifero in terms of that. Thus Lucius decides to crush Asta's fragile soul: PSYCHOLOGICALLY.

The only way I see out of it is if Julius was really real, and got possessed somehow (at birth or later?). However if that's not the case, then this plot twist is one of the craziest & most tragic ones I've ever read in manga, just by looking at the philosophical implications.

Honestly I'm not very impressed by the quality (look at Asta LOL), they must've just quickly stitched this together... I'm sure the actual movie will be miles better in animation. Anyway Asta has no devil arm + Yami is in there so it's pretty much confirmed not to adapt the manga

It says "Final arc enemy is the Wizard King?!" So the word they use for "transform" is 変貌, 変 is change and 貌 is form/appearance.
The last arc is titled "The ultimate Wizard King" (more literally, [the one who becomes the Ultimate Wizard King]). This is deep.

My headcanon is that Asta is the only living being in the Universe whose future Lucius cannot see with 100% certainty (due to anti-magic, or the lack of magic, but rather anti-magic).
This will clearly be Lucius's downfall.

I'd like to point out, that Mimosa did not only train so she can fight alongside Asta. It's more like Asta was a (big) inspiration to her. She would've trained anyway to protect the Kingdom.

You can hate me all the way in QRT & call me blind, but I was disappointed by the first few secs of animation, though I loved the Yuno part. I still love Black Clover and I know for sure the movie will look a billion times better, since they'll spend more time, effort & manpower.
