In April, I celebrated 5 years of recovery & the completion of my physician health program monitoring. Addiction is such a lonely space. I speak so others can feel less alone. Recovery has allowed me to live and give. So I can be of service, one day at a time. #soberrecovery

Such a profound, heartbreaking, and insightful piece of writing. I needed this. I'm nearing the end of my #PedsICU fellowship and really feeling the burnout. This grounded me again and reminded me how beautiful it is, that I get to do what I do.

Yesterday, I celebrated 4 years of #recovery. I laughed at my child's screams of joy as we waded in the pool during toddler swim. This is what #recovery has gifted me - being alive to enjoy these moments. #onedayatatime #serenity
