Fans mounted on the top of PC cabinet seem to be much more efficient in extracting out heat at lower speeds compared to the ones at side and rear. I have tried the following configurations: 1. 2 intake fans, 2 exhaust fans 2. 1 intake fan, 2 exhaust fans (top rear, side) 3. 1 intake fan, 2 exhaust fans (top) This top configuration is best. Also to avoid dust, it's better to have a positive case pressure system as in - blow in more air through the filter in front than pull in air from the case; if more air is pulled it will pull air from all the places and will bring dust with it inside. But with two fans in exhaust and one fan in intake how do I maintain a positive pressure system - by configuring the fan duty cycles correctly. The airflow of the fans is more or less the same, so I simply let the intake fan spin faster at lower temperatures than the exhaust fans by configuring the duty cycles in BIOS based on a simple formula: speed_front > speed_top1 + speed_top2 The top fans run at their minimum RPM most of the time because hot air rises up automatically so less effort is required to pull the heat out. Only when there is heavy compute activity the speed increases but once back to idle, the speeds are low. So for majority of the case, there is positive case pressure inside, which is good enough to maintain a dust free environment.

If you have a capable enough hardware, you can run Windows as a VM on Linux with direct GPU passthrough which gives native performance and is obviously much better than running Windows directly on the host. I switched to this mode of running Windows recently

The other issue with the tax breaks on savings it that we become a "saver's economy". An economy in which people do not spend does not grow. Because the money flows into locked in savings schemes. Instead, tax free income means it can be spent or saved as one wishes. In the average case, it might get spent and result in more economy growth benefiting everyone in the country.

@tarundua81 Nope, haven't tried that. Since this passthrough is basically hardware dependent, if one has a Windows host then perhaps Hyper V can do the same to run Linux as a VM.

Tried playing Stray inside the VM yesterday, worked pretty well. I think this might need a little bit tweaking on the CPU configuration (CPU pinning) to get the full performance.
