@sinderinister @FlipLondonTours Exactly! That’s why I had to change focus of the West End tour - didn’t seem right going from the Queen meeting Marilyn Monroe at the Empire to what was going on at the back of the Eros!

@FlipLondonTours @sinderinister Without wanting to step too much on your toes Aidan I've slowly been planning a Soho's Lost Cinemas tour. The original idea for my West End tour was Leicester Sq and Soho but as I delved into it more I realised Soho needed its own focus - and an XXX certificate. 🤣

@sinderinister @FlipLondonTours The Eros - the one in American Werewolf - was a 'Classic' and that was a cartoon cinema. I think you'll enjoy this description (The Jacey Piccadilly was originally a news and cartoon cinema called the Monsignor)

Forever grateful to my Dad for keeping my first ever cinema ticket
In my latest episode (no.116) with cinema historian and tour guide,@nigelcsmith, we talk about first cinema experiences. For Nigel it was 1981's Superman II. And he even has the ticket stubb to prove it! What was you first cinema experience?

If you're going to the @kermodeandmayo live show at the Prince Edward Theatre* on 8 December, why not make a double bill of it and join me for my Hollywood Comes to London walking tour in the morning? (*formerly the Casino Cinerama)
