@AlexGoldberg_ I’ve considered Robben, cudicini and Desailly who are all close, but I think I’ll go with a prime Hernan Crespo. Think he was one of the most underrated players Chelsea have had tbh

I shouldn’t care about ballon dor as cfc have far greater problems right now, but christ vini and his fans come across as tits. Rodri was a totally deserved winner and his influence on the game and his team is clear for all to see this season

@alexcfc5 @CFC1an Agreed - although discount United, I don’t think they can sign that big atm. A return to city or move to real most likely

@CFC1an First thing to say there is the squad now is very different to the one early in arteta’s reign. And even if it was the same on substantially the same, I’d be pointing to the fact they’ve won nothing of note tbh

@CFC1an I think hard times like these breakdown mentality more. The never say die, win and all costs is something people would have developed by the time they’re pros - I think there’s very few if any in the squad like that

@CFC1an Talent alone is meaningless - they need the mentality too and it’s massively missing from this squad and which is why there’s been little progress. Even if we go big in the summer there’s no guarantee at all with these SDs

@CFC1an I think the only reason why it won’t happen this summer is I’m not sure there’s a club that could offer a big enough fee, but I don’t think he’s likely to be impressed with the direction of the club - even if he himself has been poor recently too

@CFC1an @CFCPys Yeah there were plenty of occasions where he was positionally suspect and made some errors

I think this issue about SB is just as much the regulars who have become disenfranchised in recent years (and understandably) and it’s not as loud as it used to be, as it is the tourists. I gave up my ssn ticket a couple of years ago but whenever I go to games now it’s noticeable

@Blue_Footy …it’s not our job to come up with the answers. It’s maresca’s.

@thechelskikid Yep - I never wanted maresca but there’s not much point getting rid of him. Whoever comes in is still going to have these awful SDs to deal with

@ralpha060461 They also buy bompastor the right profile of player. Why can’t they see how much better it would be if they did this for the men’s team?!

@journalism_rp I don’t think there’s any point in replacing him but mostly because I don’t trust the club to find the right replacement. That said it’s a cop out to say the fans wld get him sacked - he will have brought it on himself: there’s plenty he can be criticised for

@TomLevins1 Exactly. Whilst I don’t like the squad, maresca has enough tools at his disposal to be doing far better than he is

@journalism_rp Generous to say it was going to be a ‘red flag’. cfc squad dwarfs Brighton in terms of £. Enough with the excuses - it should be a fixture beyond doubt. Why are the owners/SDs/management given such a free ride? One thing this ownership has guaranteed is drop in expectations
