This offseason I wanted to study/research what H.S. state champion basketball teams did from a statistical perspective in order to provide a benchmark for what you should be striving for. I was able to collect data from 23 boys & 23 girls championship teams dating back to 2012.

I will never understand H.S. kids who miss their current, in-season school sport game/event for an out of season club/travel sport activity. No issue with kids doing club/travel, but your H.S. team should always take priority (and that concludes my TED Talk)

girls track team just won their 21st straight conference championship. Amazing. The streak is now old enough to enjoy an adult beverage. Bill Clinton was in office the last time a team other than Eastwood won. Mothers & daughters are a part of the same streak now

Congrats to these two ladies last night on being recognized into the 1000pt club! 2 of the best bucket getters I have had the chance to coach but more importantly they were great teammates, tough as nails & were WINNERS. When in doubt get the ball to Jamie/Aubs & get out the way!

girls soccer coach Megan Rutherford has stepped down. In her 11 years Eastwood was 152-45-16, 4 consecutive Northern Buckeye Championships and were regional qualifiers the last 4 years. She was named as the DIII Coach of the Year in the State of Ohio in 2021.
