I'll just point out that most people in Michigan never expected it would become a RTW state. And then it did, basically overnight.
Calling for a ban on right-to-work laws is both 1) a signal to the left that you're with them, 2) politically safe (RTW gets slaughtered when it's put up to voters), and 3) not super threatening to business interests who don't think this would ever happen.
