I farm in northeast Alabama and northwest Georgia. We grow cotton, corn, peanuts , soybeans, wheat and are partners in Cherokee Gin and Cotton Company.
Today I lost my biggest supporter. She didn’t think I could do no wrong but however offered always positive encouragement. My grandmother was a hardworking person that believed you reap what you sow and prayer changes things. RIP Gran

Today I lost a man that worked with us for 40 years. He had no education but was a friend and a part of our family. He was a part of a lost generation that cared and was dedicated to hard work. He will be missed, especially by me…
Amidst the turmoil of the world we live in I have found peace and myself. I admitted myself to rehab for alcohol and with God’s grace I am regaining control of my life. 2 months with no alcohol,100 heat and low commodity prices I feel better than I have in 30 years.Amazing Grace!
I am guilty of taking things for granted. I have worried crop deterioration and weather. My daughter who is 7 months pregnant has been diagnosed with COVID. NOTHING matters but your health and nothing else. Please pray for my daughter and her unborn child. Count your blessings
I had the honor of walking my daughter down the aisle to marry a young man who is like a son to me. Hardest thing I have ever done.

2020 has been a year of uncertainty. The one thing that is certain is family. My mother passed away last night, everyone hold your families and loved one close, you never know what lies ahead.
Happiness is a lot of things but the love of a newborn child is priceless. My granddaughter is loved by so many here and those that have gone before us. None more than her Pap! She is my baby!

It’s been a year since I lost my grandmother. She was my biggest supporter and critic. She helped make the man I am today. Not a day goes by that I don’t think of her.

Please say a prayer for my baby girl. She tested positive for Covid today. I know there are a lot worse concerns but I can’t stand to see her hurting. She is the light of my life and I pray for her recovery.

As I sit here picking as good a cotton crop as I have ever had, I should be very happy. I am thankful and blessed but my heart hurts so badly for some of my closest friends and the many other farmers affected by Michael. We are praying for all affected

My good friend and Cotton Board President
@Jlw1963Webb
visited our farm today. There is no greater gift than the friends I have made in my Cotton Family. We are truly a Cotton Family that goes way beyond the Cotton Patch. I am forever grateful for these friends.

Very fortunate to have had a wealth of knowledge on the farm today. These men and their dedication to helping farmers through Extension are a major reason we are successful.

To all of my good friends in Texas and Oklahoma, I feel your pain. In 35 years of farming I have never seen hail like this. We are grateful to God that it wasn’t more widespread than what it was.

This is one of the happiest days of my life. My baby girl turns 1! She is the light of our life and my angel. She represents all that is good about life. May God be with her on her journey.

No matter what anyone says about how rough things are, losing a lifelong friend in an accident puts things in perspective. I feel inadequate worrying about weather, crop prices etc. God has a plan we all need to follow. I am broken-hearted and hurting. RIP my friend

I’m going to have a granddaughter! I have had no preference except for everyone to be healthy. But this morning I saw a pink balloon when was moving a sprayer home. I had a feeling, but it was a sign. I can’t wait to spoil her!

I got to spend my morning and lunch with my expanding family. Then I got to help a friend in need. Christmas is about giving and family, I got to do both today. Now I’m ready for my granddaughter!

Anybody remember this stinking mess? We sprayed boll weevils on a weekly schedule with it. I wore out a John Deere 6000 spraying it. You could smell it in the cab the day it left.
I really enjoy picking Cotton, especially in a big field. This one has 2 mile long rows and all you have to watch for is wind turbines

I want to thank my Twitter family for all the thoughts and tweets following my mother’s passing. I am humbled by the thoughts and prayers. Our family is grateful for your prayers. We will miss her and knowing people care makes it bearable when it’s hard to handle. THANK YOU!
