Foreign school exchanges are a force for good - not only for the local (often seaside) economies but also for building long international relationships and future foreign investment. Surely the UK wants more of all of this? @RhonddaBryant @VisitBritainBiz @DCMS

Bad luck, Hastings, and other seaside resorts hoping to attract back French school groups. The new government looks set to double down on the Brexit ban on ID cards and make it impossible for school groups to travel here without passports from April 2025.
