@bm1nus @SawyerMerritt @TesCalendar1 For L5 it must be able to drive in any conditions like snow covered roads, extremely heavy rain, etc.. more sensors may be necessary for L5 along with an AI that can solve for sensor fusion and utilize the correct sensor data for planning and control 🤷♂️

@bm1nus @SawyerMerritt @TesCalendar1 I don’t think they claimed unsupervised everywhere under any conditions. That’s L5 and not what Tesla is going for. L4 is what they will have. That means unsupervised in specific ODDs which includes weather, region, and situation. L5 will require extensive sensors and better AI!

@Anthonyin757 @TechToTesla @SawyerMerritt Well, I guess I could ask you what you think, “anytime soon”, means in years. That’s relative I guess By 2030 (soon to me), 50% of all new cars sold globally will be EVs. That puts pressure on suppliers and mfgs as their TAM for ICE shrinks. This will stimulate EV growth more 🤷♂️
