@GerHerbert1 @HouseHoxton I thought if the guards met you they could get the number using the ANPR cam and from that can discover whether the car is insured or not? They wheel around and stop the car and speak to the driver.

@GerHerbert1 @HouseHoxton So now if someone rings up for insurance without a license they’ll be asked for their driver number. They’ll hang up and drive anyway if they’re so inclined

@GerHerbert1 @HouseHoxton Oh I know all that, but the more that happens the more our premiums go up to cover the cost of it. I’d really prefer if everyone was insured instead but this is not going to make that happen. It could do more harm than good.

@HouseHoxton @GerHerbert1 And if there was someone who didn’t have a valid license that wanted insurance, now they can’t get it which puts others at risk of fixing their own car in a crash. Yes I know not having a license ‘might’ invalidate the insurance. Anyway they should have this info already
