Big man play was a huge factor this year as it's the biggest factor most teams lack this year.
Here is our list, (in no particular order) of the most outstanding players in the class of 2026 (NEPSAC ) Please note, this is our opinion only and do not represent that of the NEPSAC. These freshman have led their teams to success and have proven themselves early on.
Whoever recruits for
@PSAhoops
knows a lot about team chemistry. They don't just Chase top 100 recruits, they build a TEAM of role players( check their stats, always even) and now they are beating the country's best prep school.
PSA: Darryl Simmons shouldn't still be available.
Here is our list, (in no particular order) of the most outstanding players in the class of 2023 (NEPSAC ) Please note, this is our opinion only and do not represent that of the NEPSAC.
Alex Karaban gives credit to his AAU team Expressions elite. I've been told repeatedly that program director, Todd Quarles and all coaches are a great influence on these kids over at X. Big summer ahead representing NE at the EYBL, the biggest stage.
@ExpressionsBall
Overlooked prospect⏭️Freshman starting in the Final Four,
@AlexKaraban
talks about how the belief of everyone who supported him along the way has allowed him to reach this point.
Expressions has DOGS. Aj 🔥y'all already know about him. Jalyn Harrell - soon to be 4⭐️ in 2025 after summer(trust ME). Desmond Bellot Jr- Star freshman.. (breakout freshman year in the nepsac) crazy summer coming. Joson sanon- 5⭐️ already.. need I say more ?

Big time point guard who will put on a show this weekend and should expect some more.
@SASRIAthletics
St andrews basketball is looking real good right now, good players in all positions and look like they'll be back to their winning ways in the fall.
JAXSON TERRY'26 of Lawrence academy is officially under the radar, insane 3 point ability against brimmer and may keeping his team in the game. AS D1 as it gets 👏🏾
Too many standouts for me to outline from this weekend, I wouldn't be doing justice to the list if I made one. However, the players I wrote about tho.... 👀 they are all the real deal 🔥
A few more coming
@StThomasMoreBB
another ⭐️ studded squad that will definitely make noise. No team can be comfortable playing STM.. New add London Jemison is all of 6'8 with a beautiful jump shot and defense..
@IonaGaelsMBB
commit Justin Menard is key.. alongside 5⭐️ shooter Tyler betsey (6'8).
When it comes to our outstanding list , we do not only look at your stats, we check how you affect your team, how the game changes when you come on, no one records the amounts of charges taken per game. Yet, games are won by these extra possession gains. We watch it all 👀.
Pingree's Ray Cuevas is as good as it comes when it comes to scoring abilities, he has consistently shown excellent iq and ability to get to the rim at ease, will be relied upon heavily by his team to lead them in the winter. Fills up the stat sheet also.

ranked in 🇺🇸) in MA
These fixtures include numerous top 100 players 🍿
Sometimes I feel like I'll be the worlds best recruiter.
I know hustle and talent
Ta'quan Williams is hustle and talent. He is D1 talent , please do yourself a favor and do the needful, there's no need for "Shoulda been's or could've beens". Recruit the kid to win. It's not calc
Ebuka Okorie has been brilliant for Cushing academy today, gets to the rim easily and flows well as a team player. D1 kid with many schools reaching out already.
@CushingBBball
@ebukaokorie_
Two NEPSAC players representing their respective countries in the FIBA AMERICAS u16
Aj Dybantsa '26 - St Sebastian's school🇺🇸
Patrick Otey '27 - CATS Academy🇧🇷
Congrats and goodluck
If you bring up AJ Dybantsa and re-class in the same sentence, don't forget to mention he's still playing up.. playing in the best HS league in the 🌎, prolific prep doesn't play "nobodies", he is also the best player in HS regardless of class(not top 3
#1
) , miss me with the BS.
@krystenpeek
The media has nothing against Wagner. The media's goal with Bronny would be to make headlines any means possible, even if it meant asking questions unrelated to his season. The kid is also undecided yet and doesn't want to feed into any rumors about his school choice
Just got a call from a D1 mid major coach about two NE guys at EYBL.
15 u players- don't think that no one's watching bc these 2 NE players def got noticed playing this wknd and I made sure to tell the coach about how great these 2 players were in class A and AA this season👊🏾
My Showcase Takeaways( AA Version )
1. Cushing, Brimmer, CATS , Worcester, BCA are looking like my favs to be the best in the division/region as a whole.
All competed well throughout the weekend beating the best AA and AAA teams.
2. Lawrence acad should not be slept on
The only team to have an all circuit player in all three levels of the EYBL ? (E15, E16, EYBL 17s)
@ExpressionsBall
⭐️ Aj Dybantsa
⭐️ Jaylen Harrell
⭐️ Patrick Otey
TJ Allen continues to shine for st sebs great ball handler with excellent scoring abilities he will be taking on a bigger role this year and seems to be prepared from all of his work with
@thebabc
this summer.
@stsebsbball
Desmond bellot shows up huge again for CATS Academy, solid playmaker with deadly ability to get to the rim and score, you can only hope when he's on the ball. He's a D1 level play already and only a rising sophomore. TOP 5 2026 in NE
@desthefuture11
@CATSBoston
One kid who I had on my shortlist but completely missed when putting the lost together was Jacob Hogarth of
@SouthKentHoops
excellent player who no doubt was one of the best players at the whole showcase
BARRETT LOER'25 of st George's has heard from:
Marquette
Notre Dame
William & Mary
Columbia
Harvard
Siena
Lafayette
Iowa
Colgate
Yale
Brown
6'6 kid with unique scoring abilities.
@PSAhoops
PSA fresh off another prep championship, have a strong roster."The twin Towers" Ben and Big O are key to this team, However newcomer Que Duncan will be very much heavily relied upon to come up big, he is a big time guard who will look to lead the team. Power 5 favorites
1 of 2 New England players that came out different this summer and got heavily rewarded,
@PaulBiancardi
I'm waiting anxiously for updated rankings, do your due diligence
Nigel James of
@CushingBBball
has had a huge spring.
The shifty guard has a handle that keeps defenders on their toes, finishes through traffic on both sides of the basket, and has natural vision as a passer.
Has offers from Marquette, St. John’s and Iowa amongst others.
Brewster VS CATS Acad was definitely the most interesting game I've watched all weekend, couldn't see the score but I think it ended a tie. Brewster got some shooters alongside seb Wilkins and for CATS, Jaylen Harrell and Desmond bellot came big. Rematch in winter ?👀
@NEPrepBB
Greg brooks of
@NMHBoysHoops
defines a true point guard, excellent passing abilities and uses his small frame to get into tight spaces to find open teammates or easy buckets.
This is how I know you all don't watch the NEPSAC. Oswin Erhunmwunse'25
Should be a 5⭐️. And I know y'all haven't seen him play that's why he's not on there. WATCH THE NEPSAC !
The 2027 Outstanding list includes players in the NEPSAC who have proven very early on, on their ability to quickly adapt, and play well in the prep school scene. As 8th graders they have bright futures ahead as they are able to compete with high level college ready players.
I have been informed that 2025 Jaylen Harrell has received offers/interest from:
WakeForest
Boston college
Washington
Providence
UPenn
Siena
Illinois
Seton hall
Rutgers
Norte Dame
Tennessee
ole miss
New Mexico.
6'6 guard with potential through the roofs
Aj Dybantsa and Patrick Otey both end up in the Top 10 in scoring at the FIBA u16 America's championship.
Congrats to AJ for the gold medal as the United States won the competition beating Canada in a blowout.
@ExpressionsBall
@stsebsbball
@CATSBoston
Walking around the streets of time square and came across the McDonalds all American lists. Glad to see Elmarko Jackson of
@SouthKentHoops
. Not a small feat to be on a time square billboard.
@CoachChills
Preseason top 20 NE rankings will be dropping, check out my team profiles in my previous posts.
All based on my opinion and these factors:
1. Player retention
2. Team depth
3. Individual player talent
4. Schedule build
Newman vs Worcester was definitely an interesting game with both team playing hard all game, i really liked jake Blackburn from Worcester and Wyatt Nausaudis of Newman.
Game ended 69-67
Looking forward to a rematch in winter
Evan mitchner jr of Lawrence academy is finding good looks for his teammates on transition, he brings the ball up and is the beginning of any good plays the team has put together today.
@lacademyhoops
@EvanMitchner
While we are on the topic of the class D finals. Emmanuel Beldeh '23 And Evan Mitchner jr '26 are two great backcourt players they possess a great shooting stroke and read of the game. Mitchner is a FRESHMAN with clear D1 potential. Beldeh is an Underrated senior.
@rhcdmariners
As the day ends, I must commend the organizers of this weekend showcase, asides EYBL peach jam, I simply have never seen this many D1 coaches at a showcase before, very impressive.
Impressed by
@HoosacSchool
today in their 103-102 victory against
@PSAhoops
both teams played brilliant.
Hoosac displayed major 3 point making prowess.
College Coaches, check them out 🔥
'24 Khalil Badru had been good on both ends of the court so far in helping stabilize the offense of Newman school. He distributed the ball properly and will always make the effort to share the ball.
@KhalilBadru
@JJohnson_49
2025 Joshua Ojuri Of CATS Academy and
@ExpressionsBall
has heard from Siena and Penn state.
His calling card is his guard abilities mixed with athleticism at 6'5. Will get to show some of his talent this weekend.
And just like that the coaches of
@Jefferson_MBB
have officially stolen a great talent. I'm keeping my prediction to myself , all I'll say is the FUTURE OF JEFFERSON MBB is bright 🤩
Thank you Coach Reilly, Coach
@Miggs610
and the rest of the
@Jefferson_MBB
staff for the opportunity. Proud to say I am fully committed! Let’s Go Rams‼️
Jacob Hogarth'24 south Kent. Jacob has improved significantly since I last saw him play, he moves very well for his size and is tapping into his unlimited potential, will be heavy relived in to make winning plays for
@CoachChills
's team next year.
@SouthKentHoops
Josh Ojuri, '25 will be a great addition to a stacked CATS Academy next year, big guard with Athleticism should have some havoc on the offensive and defensive end. Major potential for Josh in the NEPSAC. CATS is a team to watch next year, major additions so far to the roster.
Teagan terry is also a solid playmaker for Lawrence and would be looking to be a team leader and lead the charge for the young team, excellent basketball iq with great reads.
@lacademyhoops
Brewster's Sebastian Wilkins possesses size and the ability to move fluidly better than most people his size, he also has a clean shooting stroke that gives him major potential.
If you were thinking about not attending the NEPSAC June showcases, think again ;). HUGE recruitment opportunity, all levels of coaches are committing to be there, many reaching out.. don't miss it
Vermont Acad vs CATS was an interesting matchup also, both teams trading buckets all game, I liked Matt leaver of Vermont, for CATS it was an all around effort led by pat otey, des bellot jr and Jaylen Harrell. I also like Parrish Johnson and Osa Idada on D
Score: 71-63 CATS W
Jeremiah Jenkins, Brewster '24 is as underrated as they come. His intuition as a point guard is unmatched. As starting PG for
@ExpressionsBall
17u, I expect Jenkins to shoot up the rankings into the top 100, playing w Sanon and Dybansta,will only allow him to show his creativity
As of now my biggest team takeaway from this showcase is
@lacademyhoops
ability to compete no matter the competition, quite surprised to see a young team display so much charisma against teams filled with seniors, a solid big on that team will make them ...👀
@SouthKentHoops
Last years AAA champs are my fav to repeat currently..though early
@CoachChills
's team seems to be as strong as any other squad. New additions Kelvin Odih and Badara Diakite make a huge impact on the floor. Isaiah Chappell will also important for this squad.
How good is New England Basketball right now
2025 number 1 - Cooper Flagg (Maine)
2026 number 1 - AJ Dybantsa (MA)
Middlesex Magic - UA Champions
Team New England - HGSL Champions
UCONN national champs
CATS will be getting a very well experienced true point guard with superb passing abilities, his athleticism goes through the roof and helps him to get to the rim, scoring against opponents easily. Excellent on-Ball defender with plenty experience against the best in the country.
love what
@JJohnson_49
has built so quickly over at Newman, AAA contenders in two years with a high major filled roster and plenty of depth. Great victory today against Putnam who looked great. I love how the season is shaping up, everyone competes!
@The_NEBL
@Newman_Hoops
NEPSAC coaches:
1. Player profiles can't be created if you don't announce new players online.
2. Please "advertise" your players, you kind of "owe" them your best effort in getting them recruited. A player just got his first D1 offer by getting a lot of retweet's and being seen
Amir Panagiotis '25 is definitely a prospect to look in NE hoops this year, playing with st Andrews he is set to have a break out season with the saints. Crafty guard with a developing skill set (bag is getting deeper) and good shot creation skills for himself
@SASRIBoysHoops
Patrick Spenard'23 is an unsigned senior that needs to be looked at quickly. A big that can shoot, led the charge for
@SASRIAthletics
this winter, great potential for the multi sport athlete.
NE ⭐️ Patrick Otey
This how it starts
1. Recognition from EYBL (playing up)
2. Hopefully that
@JoeAlmeida07
article is coming soon(it'll come for sure)
3.
@SLAM_HS
posts
And b4 you know it we have another National star.
(Shot 100% from the field last game, 25 pts)
Class of '24 guard Ray Cuevas, the focal point of the
@PingreeBall
offense this season. Clear potential to play college basketball at a scholarship level
@madehoops
, add transition guru to one of Patrick otey's('27) skill sets, coast to coast is his thing, he doesn't want the foul either, he'll score outright.
On that note, Jaxson Terry'26 has improved his middy game so much it's beginning to look easy
@aggiembk
commit Andre mills is simply as good as advertised, makes the winning plays and us leading the charge for a powerful brimmer and may team today.
@brimmerathletic
@NEBallAcademy
CATS Academy's Jaylen Harrell has very much been impressive on both ends of the court, he's been very helpful on defense while hitting the Trey ball consistently, powers through to the rim easily and has shown a lot of talent and skill for his size .
@caryherer
@CATSBoston
Desmond Bellot of CATS Academy has been a vital point for his team, making the right reads and creating plays for himself he knows how to get rid of his defender and find open shots.
@CATSBoston
@caryherer
HM coaches should buy in now on
2026 CG Desmond bellot jr
and
2027 PATRICK OTEY
both among the top 5 young prospects NE has to offer as a whole playing together.
2025 4⭐️ Jaylen Harrell already burst out this summer with 10+ HM offers
CATs Academy (
@caryherer
) where young stars
@otey_patrick
@Jaylen_Harrell6
@desthefuture11
+ more have brought in scores of HM coaches. A youth movement that should also lead to wins & improvement. In attendance Providence, Clemson, Notre Dame, Holy Cross
I'm not "bias" I simply can't post about your program or your players if I have to go to your schools website to get any updates, social media helps your players get seen!! Post livestream links / player updates frequently, for all your players including the ones on the bench.
Regarding the NDWH situation.. recruiting is hard.. point blank period however recruiting for a prep school that has only a day school option is a 100 times harder... don't think it's easy.. kids look as the easy access to a gym for most hours of the day as a BIG PLUS.
Jaxson Terry(Lawrence academy) is part of the New England '26 class that should be nationally ranked when the time comes. 85% of these players I'm referring to also happen to play for AAU
@ExpressionsBall
. I would be tuned in this EYBL season. Great shooting and defense from jax
@CushingBBball
Cushing's backcourt remains stacked Ebuka Okorie remains alongside Jaden Zimmerman, this team still remains one to look at and will rely on big man play. Will still be AA contenders and might be looking for a redemption from last year
The duo of Pat Otey and Desmond bellot for
@CATSBoston
is brilliant, both pure scorers with great defensive instincts. They posses the ability to put the ball in the basket second to almost none .
Des and Patrick are soon to be highley ranked in their classes
2 more yrs of HS👀
@TaborHoops
picks up a double double machine. Guaranteed perform on both ends of the floor every game. His size mixed with his ability is what gives him dangerous potential. Another great get for Tabor who will now be looking to be contenders next year.
A BIG 🙌 WELCOME to
@Sagebap_24
who joins the
@TaborHoops
family this week. The 6’6” wing has 💪 to bang & reb with the best + IQ 🧠 vision 👀 + skill to be a playmaker & sniper! Catch him

Jaylen Harrell'25 put on a scoring clinic for
@CATSBoston
today at ZGPC, great all around scorer with an excellent feel on the offense. Knock down shooter with an equally good mid range.
@Jaylen_Harrell6
@caryherer
@RiversAthletics
Class B champions, remain my favorites to repaeat, by far, very far.
@UAlbanySports
commit Amir Lindsey Leads the charge in offense, Ryan Altman and Jay Jones also Andrew A. Will be major for the team this year
1. Indy heat can't handle expression 15s full court press.
2. Evan Mitvhner jr is killing it in this championship game.
3. Patrick otey does not miss, automatic
Vincent Chaudri of
@NMHBoysHoops
is another excellent scorer, he has good size and moves quickly laterally. As he builds up his frame he shows High chances of major potential in the future as a 3 lever scorer and defender.
