Why is the Yelich Trade the worst in Marlins History?
A little over 6 years later, ALL 4 OF THE PLAYERS THEY GOT FROM THE BREWERS aren't just out of the Big Leagues, THEY'RE OUT OF BASEBALL..
..Thanks for absolutely nothing
@derekjeter
#GraciasPablo
With news of former Marlins ⚾️ Prez Mike Hill n the running for the Astros j.o.b. It got us a little curious of why former ⚾️-Prez Larry Bienfest never got back N2 Baseball. Go back to look @ Marlins Payrolls from '06 to '10 and how competitive those Teams really were. Astounding
- Mets wallop Marlins, put up 15 in Spring notes -
- Defense (🙈) 1 week into Games be like 😬 -
- Arraez another Leadoff Hit -
- Jefry Yan shows off stuff once more -
A .177 Hitter since July 2022
No chump change either, 112 Games worth/413 AB's through Injuries.
..Keep the Sliders down and away this weekend
#Marlins
This f'n guy is telling you he doesn't want to be here from the very beginning this Season.
Team's 6-23. Nobody seems to give a flying rat's ass or even know the rules of fuc*ing baseball around here.
WTF are you guys doing
@Marlins
Here's a fun Matt Barnes fact. He's ranked 3rd ALL-TIME in Career Games Pitched for the Boston Red Sox.
The same Sox who were founded in 1901.
Quite an eye popping stat.
Marlins were indeed interested in Brandon Drury. They did not get him. I am starting to think these free agents do not appreciate complimentary soft serve ice cream like I do.
Eury Perez
Jesus Luzardo
Braxton Garrett
Edward Cabrera
Johnny Cueto/Bryan Hoeing
Obviously a lot will depend on Edward Cabrera now to step up. But that's still a darn good Rotation.
Hopefully nothing too serious with Sandy and he can return.
@Js19969
@SimonettiSource
He quit because he wanted to bring in winning players but the rest of the marlins front office didnt
Says all you need to know about Jeter
One guy hit 14 HR's in 2023, the other hit 11 the last two Seasons COMBINED.
Yet Garcia has started more Games through the first 7 than Sanchez.
¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Lost in the Luis Arraez Move last night was that Jesus Sanchez wasn't in the Lineup pre or post Trade. Because a Lefty was Starting for the Oakland A's.. ..After he just Waked-Off a Lefty the day before. It was more important to get Rivera & Lopez in there.
What a f**king Joke !
I know Cooper was a Free Agent at the end of the year. But truly who cares when you're shooting for the Postseason..
..Something tells me the guy was Clutch too. *Including in Playoffs pasts
So long friend 👁👁
Throw in bad 'Managing' into the laundry list of problems to start the Marlins Season.
With the way this guy manages the Bullpen, arms in the Marins' Pen will be down to the KFC bone before June.
I'm tired of Arraez leading off.
This was altered at the beginning of the year, why not again?!
Get you're BEST HITTER in a Run Producing spot!
..Instead he technically hits behind Wendle & Fortes when the Game gets goin'
Last 5 Starts: 3-0, 0.33 ERA. ..Is that good 🤔
The young phenom 🐐 has given up a single Run in his last 27 Innings (the equivalent of 3 Complete Games 🔥). 29 K's along the way.
Fish looking to win another Series today.
It's funny how some fans are saying MLB shouldn't gift a Team like the D-Backs this World Series oppoutunity.
Like anything has been gifted. I guess they forgot they Swept L.A and had to Win 2 Games in Philly just to get here.
Starts at the top.
But what changes can u truly expect? This man let Jeter/Mattingly & Yank's Co. run this Team into the ground for years.
Now at 6-22, the laughing stock of the League, does he truly care about ZERO direction from the F.O, the Dugout, and especially the Field?
Words don’t even matter at this point. Fingers can be pointed in a lot of places when it comes to the
#Marlins
Plenty of blame to go around. They made the mess. How they go about fixing it is all that matters.
@ManOn2nd
The frustrating part of the whole thing was that the 'ORIGINAL CALL' was a Fair Ball.
And The Original Call Was Overturned SO THAT THE NEW ORIGINAL CALL WOULD BE FOUL BEFORE REVIEW.
Because the Original Call would 'Stand'.
The Umps did not want the Original Call to be Fair!!
“There’s so much more communication that we didn’t have when I was here the last five years."
- A quote regarding Skip S. published by the Miami Herald this morning
😎
Had Okert Warming for the Lefties in the 5th, doesn't use em.
Warmed Soriano too late in that 5th. Not only doesn't he go to him in the 5th, DOESN'T go to SORIANO to start the 6th. LET'S Cueto give up 2 rockets in that 6th, THEN goes to the Pen!
Marlins lost the lead for good!
In a baseball world of exit velo, wrc+, fWAR and who knows what other really dumb statistics
This guy may not be as valued as highly in today's game
A damn shame, cuz you'd be a fool to not know what Luis Castillo meant to Florida Teams n the 90's & 2000's. Championship Teams!!
Who woulda thought this guy would be a major piece in a Juan Soto deal one day 😉
The Marlins made a really smart Trade (Jeter's first and one of his only 😂smart moves here) with the Yanks to acquire Garrett Cooper and Caleb Smith once.
Let's have some fun
@Marlins
Quote this:
I'm going with "Are you Luis Arraez back to back Batting Champ best player on the Team? Get tf out of here you've just been Traded to San Diego".
Johnny Cueto's 2023 so far Pitching in Games wearing a Marlins Uniform (Obviously including Spring Training).
Brace yourself.
0-3 in 3 Starts with a 32.14 ERA.
14 Hits allowed in 12 Innings.
2 BB's, 2 K's, 4 Homers served up.
Does this guy do even 1 thing well?
Doesn't have the strength to hit the ball out of the Infield.
Can't utilize speed, because he can't get on base.
Can't make above average play at SS.
Couldn't even make routine play yesterday to prevent the L.
Chicago y'all want him back?
The Marlins have informed 2022 NL Cy Young Award winner Sandy Alcantara he will not be traded this offseason, per sources. As his injury rehab continues to go smoothly, the full expectation is Alcantara will be Miami’s Opening Day starter in 2025.
The worst of the worst.
I'm inclined to say Robertson may take the cake because he's already in this kinda company, and he's been here less than a month.
Does Mattingly "Manage" his last Game?!
Or does he go previous Seasons routes and let a Player like Miguel Rojas Manage the Final Game of the Season???
It's just not some good baseball.
Can't move runners. Which leads to playing with no room for error. Which when that error does happen either physical or mental like it did to lead off the 6th with Sandy on the mound, it costs you the Game..
..and Speaking of looking lost 😬⬇️.
The cats on the left have Played a grand total of ZERO MLB Games in 2022.
Rest assured they'd Bat 3rd & 4th in the Lineups constructed by the peeps to the right, Today, and Always.
lol. Pump the breaks a tad there young Stephen. It's the first Marlins Series Win since July!!
It's been awesome to see Edwards/Norby, and U forgot 1 of the cooler reasons as Marlins fans has been to see Conine get his shot this week.
But screaming "excitement" @ 51-86 🙈 Okkk.
team the last couple of weeks has gotten my excitement through the roof for next year. The instant impact of Xavier Edwards, Connor Norby, Kyle Stowers have been immediate.
Not to mention the drastic improvement of Jonah Bride even a guy like Calvin Faucher. The coaching staff
Jonathan Bermudez, who struggled mightily to get an out in 10-0 Game on Sunday and who was DFA'd 2 weeks ago, is the best the Fish could come up with for a Starting Pitcher today.
From yesterday, as the Marlins open up a 3 Game Series vs Arizona a couple players acquired in the T. Rogers Trade impacted the Game.
How have other Prospects performed since the Deadline and what to maybe expect moving forward? Son Los Marlins 👇
