As a poker dealer, who does a lot of overtime, it is so hard some nights not to freak out on some players. Constant berating from bad players who NEVER WIN, blaming every dealer, checking with their middle finger, throwing their cards, STOP PLAYING IF YOU GET THAT UPSET.

Well its the next day and holy cow I am over the moon. Taking 3rd in the mystery bounty for my FIRST 5 figure score!!!! Total with bounties was $51k. The tournament was mine to win but the cards thought otherwise.

For the first time in my life, I just enrolled in a benefits plan through my job. Couldnt be more stoked. Really glad I found an amazing company to work for, doing something I'm passionate about. Ay and I'm still in the scooter biz on the side!! Lifes great.

Breathe. In less than a month I'll be caught back up on my bills and having a consistent paycheck. In about 2 months I'll have benefits which I've never had on my own. In 3 months I'll start dealer training. In 6 months I will be exactly where I want/need to be.

2023 was my most profitable poker year. None of this includes online, I mostly break even online anyway. First trend is tournaments. Clearly I know what I need to work on. Second is cash games. To start the year I didnt consider myself a good cash player. Guess I was wrong.

I havent had a big day 2 in a while. I have been taking this one very seriously with 100% intention of winning. Every day I've been studying ICM FT3, FT2, and FT spots for at least an hour. And when I do win this tournament, I will keep studying this way. I can feel my edge.

Definitely realized today how much ego tournament regs have. None of us deserve to win, or even be able to play. It is a privilege. End of day, doesnt matter how good you are, how ahead you get your money in, you might lose. Dont berate players because you lost.

Weighed in at 201 lbs last weekend. I peaked at about 270 lbs about 7 years ago. I stayed between 220-240 since then but recently got the motivation to make a big change. No bread/sugar. Daily weight lifting. No alcohol. In just a months time I lost 30 lbs. lets get under 200 💪🏻

Studying with a small group vs alone is the absolute nuts. Taking perspective from everyone is amazing, and also realizing your thought process is spot on gives a boost of confidence.
