Whether a surprise strike, or lack of planning, this was also a failure security-wise. A security failure at a major piece of the city's and the country's infrastructure.
It is not busy. It is the surprise strike by security staff that caused all the delays & stress.

@havivrettiggur Interesting nuances that even Cypriots, next door, don't know about. What's the incentive for carrying out a wedding in Cyprus since there is already the "common law" approach. The assumption in Cyprus all this time was based on this misconception you quoted.
