@pmoe My perspective: The best founders simply _have_ to start something, they don’t look to start something. & those that _have_ to start something wouldn’t let the macro stop them doing so/perhaps wouldn’t even consider it.

@MagnusHambleton The issue is due to the fact that no one has cracked the business model, the fantasy sports companies either add gambling elements themselves or they partner with gambling companies to help them convert their users into gamblers… It’s the same story for all of them. 😔

@MagnusHambleton Our “bet” (pun intended 😅) was the next generation of sports fans would care more about social and gamification while engaging with live sports than betting $10 to win $20. I still maintain (and hope) the gambling industry is one of the biggest still to face true innovation.

Totally relate to this. I actively tried for 6 months _not_ to start my company before I gave in to the pull.
It’s really only worth starting a company if there’s nothing else you can imagine doing or you feel like you have no choice. It’s hard in a way that’s tough to appreciate until you’ve done it, like how it’s tough to understand what being a parent is like until you’ve done it.
