Seeing the @thegetupkids 25th anniversary tour *again* was incredible but what really made my night was hearing The Anniversary play The D in Detroit, one of the greatest emo songs of all time.

@LisaDemands @VJKapur @dcpublicschools @DCPSChancellor Since I’m the one making the decisions, it’s so hard to have to wait for DCPS, especially when I’m thinking about my families and staff. First time I’ve done this, but I felt like it was the right choice, especially for teachers who live far away!

Tom Robbins just passed away. To say his writing had a profound impact on my life is an understatement. In fact, I have an image from one of his book covers tattooed on my arm. Sharing these words because they’ll always be important.
