We are looking forward to seeing #ourchildrenshospital's outdoor spaces continue to bloom and flourish. 4 of the 12 acres of the new children's hospital are dedicated to outdoor spaces and gardens for patients, their families and staff to enjoy.

In these photos you can see further progress on the third level lecture theatre with flooring & seating now installed. This will be an exciting place of learning for medical & nursing students.

There will also be approx. 1000 underground car parking spaces with 675 reserved for families. The parking system will allow families to reserve spaces ahead of arriving to the hospital and specific car parking spaces are planned for emergency parking outside the Emergency Dept.

Great to see child-centric design become a reality at #ourchildrenshospital. Check out some of the milestones from last year, including the biome (pic 1) & elevated helipad (pic 2) & artwork installation (pics 3+4).

Just one of the features of #ourchildrenshospital which will ensure it is a child-centric space. Main doors have glass panes for adults and children to look through and see what's ahead, ensuring reassurance and visibility for all.

Did you know? #ourchildrenshospital will have 4 acres of outdoor areas including 14 gardens and internal courtyards for patients, families and staff. There will also be 400 trees planted, some of which are already in place and adding colour and life to the site.

Each staff base in #ourchildrenshospital is central to its location, providing a connection between staff and patients. There are also touchdown points in key areas for multidisciplinary teams to meet and work together. Pictured are some of the completed staff bases.

The hydrotherapy and gym areas of #ourchildrenshospital are progressing well. With ample space and equipment, this area will be very important to the physical rehabilitation of many patients. Pictured is the hydrotherapy pool under construction.

Installation of medical equipment is underway in #ourchildrenshospital. This includes MRIs, CTs, X-Rays, theatre imaging equipment, & automated guided vehicles. Pictured are some of the CT scanners, MRI scanners and Drager medical pendants in the hospital.

While #ourchildrenshospital will care for Ireland's sickest children, it is important that children and their families have the space to take some time out. Pictured is one of the several play areas in the hospital and family lounges.

This video shows key updates of #ourchildrenshospital. With substantial scaffolding removed & outdoor areas coming to life with native planting & artwork by @CHI_Ireland Arts in Health Programme, the hospital will be a welcoming place for patients, their families, and staff.

The building recently reached its max. height & we were delighted to be joined by Minister for Health @DonnellyStephen & the Brunton family to mark the milestone. @RMHC_Ireland will operate the facility. The new House will more than double accommodation available for families.
