I make it to the last round and then they say they’re afraid I’ll leave because I’m an artist or try to tell me I’m “over-qualified” which really feels like a micro-aggression as a Black woman

Producers are willingly losing $30million on ONE movie meanwhile my friends and I get told that our $5M debut features are too much of a risk… make it make sense 🤷🏾♀️
GOLDEN, the upcoming film from Pharrell Williams, will no longer be released and has been shelved at Universal.
