a bad translation is when the original meaning isn't understood by the target audience and this can happen even when everything in the sentence has technically been "translated correctly".

Watching vaccination pictures from Japan and from abroad, it always astonish me, that abroad the shot is done by one person, normally a nurse, whereas in Japan at least 2 people and sometimes more are involved. And the shot is done by a doctor, nurse just roll up the shirt.

I really don't appreciate the whole 'Japanese animation is more complex than western' tone throughout the article. It all depends on the show and what the show is trying to offer. (can't tell me that oshiritantei, the butt detective, is more complex than magic school bus 😂)
