For me the biggest takeaway to the news about @deepseek_ai is that people outside the West and major cities will have access to AI and that is incredibly exciting.

@francesweetman I run two AI companies and what they did was hilarious. There have been reports that China has been developing their own models using "distillation" or training it using ChatGPT or Claude's models. They stole their data so ChatGPT should shut up on that issue.

@skdh @paulg @elonmusk We have too many people with uninformed opinions in positions of power inside our country to be too worried about @elonmusk. What he did was amazing in highlighting and putting front and centre the biggest scandal in post war UK history. For that I thank him.

@francesweetman I completely understand. When I did it, it was the opposite. I'm 6ft 5in and weight lift, so when I knocked on the door I would step back and have a soft voice but even I got scared canvasing late at night.

@GandonAmy Oh, it worse than you think. I run an AI company that has dealt with public sector and case studies are more important than data. Narratives are king and if there is data it is heavily skewered and of course no one checks.

@francesweetman Same here. Adding dark chocolate it's been a game changer. My wife started adding it a few months ago and I can't imagine CCC without it.

@ninaturner With all respect I live in a country that this exists in and it's a disaster. The NHS is not fit for purpose. It's collapsing.
