It was a pleasure to read the wonderful article an undergrad at @Georgetown wrote about my recent talk there for the student newspaper.

@nmboffi @wbialek Thank you for sharing! I look forward to reading the paper in detail and discussing it. A quick note: in our preprint, “model-free” refers to not prescribing a model of the dynamics, which may differ from its meaning in machine learning. Excited to chat more about neural data!

Excited to share my latest work on biomolecular condensates! While often viewed as liquids, their interactions with surfaces like membranes reveal new physics. We generalized the Young-Dupré equation to account for wetting via mobile tethers anchored to membranes.
Membrane wetting by biomolecular condensates is facilitated by mobile tethers #biorxiv_biophys

Thrilled to share our new preprint with Stephen Martis (@stephen_martis) and David Schwab (CUNY)! We show how the method of mutation drives eco-evolutionary dynamics, shaping trait-space patterning via nonreciprocal interactions. Just the beginning of exploring this rich model!
Trait-space patterning is dictated by the tempo and mode of mutation #biorxiv_evobio

Excited to be visiting @WashUBME this week to present my work on modeling algal pyrenoids and the physical principles behind their formation. Looking forward to meeting everyone. See you soon!
Join us for our weekly #WashUBME seminar at 10 am this Thursday, Sept. 12 in Whitaker Hall. Trevor GrandPre of @phybiofunc will present “Revealing the Principles Behind Biomolecular Condensate Formation in Algal Pyrenoids.” Learn more:
