@rhett_baylor I use a lot of HVGIC for restoration of primary teeth. Works ok. I am just not sure that blocking the enamel with plastic or gic before the tooth enamel has matured is a great idea… I have a hard time getting 40$ to then find it decayed…

I worry that the etching too soon on immature enamel and it is causing the problem. Thoughts? The etch is removing the pellicle and the outer crystals while relying on the spaces between the crystals to retain the sealant. If the surface is matured then the spaces between the crystals isn’t there…. The tooth shouldn’t decay and the sealant should fall off. If the teeth are decaying then the crystals are probably not aligned correctly… no remin demin and decay ensues until the sealant falls off.
