Update: for the first time in months, my platelets did NOT drop which means the drugs are working! No transfusion today!!

Update:
My platelets counts have reached the normal range and are currently at 151,000! It’s hard to believe they were down to less than 10,000 six months ago. We still have a ways to go but it’s great progress!

Update:
Platelet count up to 115,000. Creatnine (kidney function) down to 1.3 (which is good), neutrophils at .94. Doctor and PA aren't concerned and said this "could" be my new normal but they are expecting my numbers to go up again.
Overall, great news!

Friday update: not only did my platelets NOT go down, they went UP! Hemoglobin is very slowly dropping but not enough to where I need a blood transfusion any time soon.
Otherwise, a great start to the weekend! Aplastic Anemia doesn’t know what hit it! 💪🏻👊🏻

Update:
I am off my medication!!! My counts looked great today and the doctors are confident they’ll remain stable.
I go back next week to make sure my counts stay normal while I’m off Promacta. But we should be in the clear!! LETS GOOOO!!!!!

Update:
Counts down a little bit but not enough to concern the doctors. I go back next Friday to see if they need to up my dosage of cyclosporine to 150 mg a day rather than the 100 I'm on currently.
This is a long battle folks, but it’s one we are going to win!

Update:
My neutrophils are 1.81 which haven’t been that high in I don’t know how long. Lymphocytes skyrocketed to 1.09 (1.1 is normal) and my platelets are 124.
I am 90% sure these are the best counts I’ve had since my diagnosis in December 2018.

Update: my dad and I went to Moffitt today as a precaution after we found petechia on my leg this morning. The PA said it’s nothing to worry about and my platelets went up to 53,000 and hemoglobin is at 8.9!

Monday update: platelets continue to rise! Up to 24 from 22. Neutrophils are also starting to go up. Hemoglobin is going down a little so a blood transfusion might be required next week but we’d rather have that than a platelet transfusion. Overall, another good day! 💪🏻👊🏻

As some of you may know, my counts were steadily dropping for a couple months so we thought I’d have to get back on meds.
Thankfully, my counts have started going back up again and I don’t have to go back on meds for the time being!

Platelets down to 124 from 135 and hemoglobin down from 12.6 to 12.2. Doctor says these are small decreases and they won’t be concerned unless it’s consistent.
Good news: PNH level dropped from 8% to 4%! That’s huge!

After nearly eleven months, your boy is off cyclosporine! In case you don’t know what that is, it is essentially a controlled poison used to kill bad white blood cells.
We will check in two weeks if I need to go back on it.
This is a major step! Let’s goooo!!!!

Counts have returned to the normal range after dropping because of the flu. We are now tapering Promacta. Hoping to get off it soon and then I’ll be completely medication free!
