Thanks for the support @darrenpaffey Getting fed up with all the negs who can’t see how great it is we’re bringing forward fixing some buildings in the 2030s instead of the 2040s. Can’t please everyone 🙄. Onwards and upwards team @AngelaRayner @mtpennycook @AlexJJNorris
Yesterday the government set out tough new targets to fix unsafe cladding on buildings. In Parliament I highlighted why these welcome changes can't come quickly enough for my constituents. 👇

@lewis_goodall Thank you for getting that commitment from @mtpennycooked - leasehold needs to be abolished. Next time please ask why they won’t release the results of the consultation on ground rent. Why do they need a “safe space”?

Trust me
The government have today laid regulations that will allow leaseholders across the country to more easily and cheaply take control of their buildings and bear down on poor service and spiralling charges.

Today's GDP figures are disappointing. However, I'm determined to turn the economy around so it works for working people once again. That's why we are building 1.5 million homes, creating the National Wealth Fund and reforming our pensions market to make Britain better off.

In 2019, Notre-Dame burned down, and Hammersmith Bridge was shut to cars due to cracks. Today, Notre-Dame reopens, even more glorious than before. Meanwhile, Hammersmith Bridge remains shut to cars and will be for at least another 5yrs. What a pathetic testament to Britain’s decaying state.
