@jameelajamil When I'm watching my students I think many do it do deflect attention off themselves. If they are the one instigating it then they are less likely to be on the receiving end of it. So they seem to feel they are protecting themselves this way.

@Mr_Minchin We've been told by principal to support student and let them sleep with no drama surrounding it. If they are asleep in the middle of the day it's because they need to be and no shame should be put on any child over that.

@actionheroteach Unfortunately anyone can train to be a teacher...training doesn't explore the core and soul of people. I'd like to think people can call out racism and be celebrated for calling it out but some educators don't have what's needed for this.

@Teacherglitter I know it's aspirational but I got a car with a built in Sat Nav. Changed my life! Tells me what lane to get into before I get to it, gives me plenty of notice, little arrow on the dash preparing me to turn right etc...I'm spoilt but it stops my nerves
