Hugely proud to share the news that the Self Isolation Choir Messiah at Home has raised £20000 through ticket sales and £5 from the sign up fee for the charities voted for by choristers - £7000 for Shelter and £13000 for Help for Musicians. Thank you everyone and well done.

After an amazing & tiring weekend of Elijah in London, on the (excellent) suggestion of one of my choristers I downloaded SeatFrog & got a very cheap upgrade to 1st class for my train home. Have the whole carriage to myself to enjoy a G&T & an episode of Star Trek - bliss! Cheers

What an amazing time we had yesterday! I was so privileged to conduct Handel’s Messiah in Dublin on the anniversary of the very first performance & we ended up playing guitar in a bar on the banks of the Liffey singing Irish songs with a big crowd - a truly unforgettable day ☘️

Usually when conducting I use a full orchestral score which is a fairly complicated document in itself. As requested by several of you - behold the orchestral parts for the mix of Messiah in ProTools (this doesn’t include choir or soloists). Each block is a separate recording 🤯

A truly unique benefit of the Self

is that I can teach the Mozart Requiem solo quartet parts to the full choir AND have them all sing along with the soloists during the final performance. Can’t imagine that would ever go down well in a face-to-face concert! 🤔😬😂
