I have not fact-checked these amounts but if this is true, it really makes not an iota of sense, 1) only 2900 soldiers funded for R2b doesn't add up, how is this possible 2) we have a war at home, give this to @SAPoliceService and @NPA_Prosecutes @AfricaFactsZone - is this true?
Our government has given another R3.5 BILLION over and above the R2 BILLION to fund our 2900 soldiers in the DRC. Now just imagine if they took these same soldiers and put them in Hillbrow and Sunnyside and cleared out all that grime, crime and illegal foreigners. We could have reclaimed the hundreds of hijacked buildings. It makes no sense to me that we spending so much for the security of the DRC but t can't do the same for our own country.
