Um…. Can’t have it both ways: try to construe diversity efforts in trials as a form of “DEI” but then also push the idea that heterogeneity is biologically relevant to medicine. The latter may indeed turn out to be true, though it is complicated by the imprecision of racial categories in American and other cultures, which are not rooted in bottoms-up genetic characterization.
