This is not freedom of speech—it is shameful, disturbing, and absolutely unacceptable. Thanks to the strength of social media, at least a few have highlighted the issue of perverted and objectionable content being posted freely on some platforms. The recent outrage against #RanveerAllahbadia and #SamayRaina is just one example. There are several other accounts on YouTube, X, Instagram, etc., where the so-called “content” is filled with nudity and porn/semi-porn under the guise of entertainment. As a parent, I am deeply concerned about the kind of content being normalized in the name of comedy or humor. The values we pass on to our children shape the future of our society. If we allow such degrading humor to be accepted, what kind of mindset are we fostering in the next generation? Shri Samay Raina and others for promoting obscenity and engaging in sexually explicit and vulgar discussion in a show titled ' India's Got Latent' Guwahati Crime Branch has registered a case vide Cyber PS case no 03/2025 under sections - 79/95/294/296 of BNS 2023 read witb Sec 67 of IT Act, 2000, read with Section 4/7 of Cinematograph Act 1952 read with Section 4/6 of ⁠Indecent Representation of Women (Prohibition) Act, 1986 . Investigation is currently underway
