Major in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering instead and teach yourself CS on the side, This should be the default path for anyone who wants to get into tech
you needed to be VERY weird to major in computer science 15 years ago
now it’s the default path for smart ambitious people like finance or consulting used to be. probably healthier but something definitely lost in that transition

fair point, but I think the skills you get from ee for example are valuable and can really complement ur understanding of CS and even make it easier
