After I was diagnosed with DCIS, I had a lot of choices to make. The most challenging one was which surgery to have. #dcis #bcsm

@SophieZnS Quite the accurate description! One of the most painful things for me is the hard plate in between my breasts on the chest bone. Always so hard!

Take time to research your breast surgeon and pick one who you feel confident in. Sometimes, it makes sense to get a second opinion. #bcsm

I was surprised at how hard it was to go through breast cancer treatment. I was anxious and unable to focus on much more than what the next decision was. #abreastcancerjourney

Updating loved ones during treatment can be time-consuming. One trick I used to save time was a text shortcut in my phone. #bcsm #cancer

Kind words such as these are precisely why I wrote "A Breast Cancer Journey: Living it One Step at a Time." Breast cancer is hard. Find encouragement inside. #abreastcancerjourney
