Emergency supplies getting out to communities hit by #CycloneChido, but with almost 400,000 people directly impacted, so much more is urgently needed.
#CycloneChido wreaked destruction across northern #Mozambique. Many children and families have lost everything. UNICEF is delivering lifesaving supplies to those in need and working to ensure access to critical services.

@UNICEF_Moz in full response mode for children and families impacted by Cyclone Chido in northern Mozambique. The humanitarian needs in the north already affecting 3.3M children and the needs are rising with the immediate impact of the cyclone. Grateful for all urgent support!
#CycloneChido has made landfall near Pemba, in northern #Mozambique’s Cabo Delgado province. UNICEF is very concerned about the immediate and longer-term impacts on an already very vulnerable population. We are on the ground, working with partners and the government to respond.
