@FenixAmmunition I'm routinely cooking up steaks in this shit and it is not the same as an ice bath.

@ignaciobalbuena @toomuchistrue I truly have no idea what constitutes "alt" in the 2020s. In fact I'm fairly confident it doesn't really exist anymore.

@ArmandDoma @uubzu He's speaking in riddles but basically saying you're seeing a surge of racism because you curated a bad Twitter feed.

@VPhoenixChick @toomuchistrue Yeah honestly the sudden rise of the twang empire doesn't fit into my mental model at all.

@conor64 Progressive demos don't get more active when they are insulted, they get actuve if too much brake is applied to infinite forward roll. You're just suggesting that we approach the ravine at a modest 20mph instead of 60.

@VPhoenixChick @toomuchistrue And hard rock in general only peaked in the 80s because it's the only style that sounded halfway decent when you had an 8 track in a garage. EDM is similarly only dominant now because you can produce a chart topper with software that is collectively cheaper than a single guitar.

@axidentalism @SamNadasky @toomuchistrue EDM isn't the future of music because it sounds better, it's the future of music because it's a desk job.

@Kronykal @whstancil I remember pulling off my first reactor startup at 21. Always bet on youth to figure out systems quickly.

@Caben17749 @marcyrw @visegrad24 He made a general statement that "some" could he trimmed so that ni matter what you said he could walk it back and still feel correct. Observe him. Learn from him. He's not here to argue, he's here to waste your time.

@memeticsisyphus This is a perfect example of someone jumping in to argue without an argument. It's group signaling in its purest form.

@PSA_Sitch @NuanceBro People's views change. The information environment changes. Political tactics adapt. But the *principled guy* who commits himself to behaving the same way for the same event over and over? He doesn't. He's a tool everyone else adapts to manipulate.

Every now and then I have a flashback to being made made to stay late on an already 10 hour workday to finish my "cybersecurity training" and literally the next day being informed that a gov't contractor just gave all of my pii away to a stranger. All of this talk about accessing sensitive info is just totally meaningless to anyone who's ever interacted with that.
