Nothing too crazy yet, I just triangulated the water "chunks" based on 4 points.
My end goal will hopefully be using a "sea mesh" and the 4 points will be replaced with bones, although this is just in theory, I might end up just using frame-by-frame water.

Spent the last month making tons of equip-able and customizable ship parts, here's a few pics of some tester ships. Some parts such as hull armor and sail materials increase the stats of your ship, while others like figureheads are just visual

Arcane Odyssey isn’t a one piece game nor is it similar or even inspired imho. Not every game with sailing and a bounty system is based off one piece. The closest one piece inspiration I can even think of is the number of warlords and emperors

Developers spend months and months on projects to make them as good as they can just to get criticized by the public for things out of their control or just non-issues. People will see a bandit in a game and classify the entire game as a bandit beater too, can't understand that.

I completely understand where you're coming from. As Snaliel said newer developers progress faster due to the older developers paving the way for them. This kinda exists EVERYWHERE not just on Roblox game development, support your decision tho

Glad you declined. A lot of these VFX devs heavily overprice stuff. Crazy thing is a lot of them don’t even make their own textures too but expect hundreds of dollars for simple particle effects

In my opinion, R6 is much better for combat animations, despite being less articulate, it looks significantly better
(mostly because of how much time & effort it takes to do r15 animations, much more with combat)
Look at a game called Black Magic 2 (on roblox) and you'll see

- mid combat with no air combos
- characters that you can press 1234 and kill someone (awakened kokushibo)
- damn near infinite dashes with no cooldowns it feels like
- decent at best vfx
- terrible ui/ux
- bad lobby map design
- matches that are for whatever reason 20 mins long
