Water advocate & ultramarathon runner💧👟 Just ran 800km along the Seine to call for healthy, restored rivers worldwide. Up next ➡️ World River Run
Australia
Joined February 2010
The #SeineRiverRun is done! 800kms, in 30 days. I’ve run the entire length of this beautiful river 🇫🇷💧 We can do hard things when we commit. Not long ago, the Seine was declared functionally dead. Today, she’s being restored to health through dedicated clean-up efforts. It hasn’t been easy, and the job is far from done, but the Seine’s transformation is a beacon of hope and a clarion call to other river cities worldwide: Restore your rivers to benefit your people and nature. 🌍🌿

In 2022, during our #RunBlue journey, I ran across the Pantanal, the world’s largest tropical wetland. But instead of water, I found dry, cracked earth. The impact of climate change and human activity was devastating. Wetlands like the Pantanal are nature’s life support systems. They store carbon, protect against floods and droughts, and support millions of people. But they’re disappearing three times faster than forests. On #WorldWetlandsDay, let’s remember: wetlands are not wastelands. If we protect them, they will protect us 💧🌍🌿

Water isn’t just something we drink. It’s in the lights we turn on, the food we eat, the homes we live in. Did you know it takes 3,781 litres of water to make a single pair of jeans? Without water, we have nothing. And when we take things for granted, we take water for granted. That’s the problem. If we want to protect our future, we have to rethink how we value water. Because once it’s gone, so is everything else 💧🌎🌿

Busy start to the year! I swapped the 40ºC Australian summer for the freezing mornings of Washington DC. Waking up to -8ºC was a bit of a shock. Two jumpers, a puffer jacket, and a quick trip to pick up a beanie and fleece later, I managed to survive my runs (just) 😅 Washington was packed with a ton of meetings and lots of exciting things are in the works. Now I’m heading to Jeddah to support. Can’t wait to share more soon! 🤗🙌

I’m heading to Jeddah for the first race of the 2025 @E1Series World Championship and can’t wait to see what Westbrook Racing achieves this season! ⚡ Their debut year was nothing short of extraordinary. Joining late and still finishing just shy of the title is a testament to their grit and teamwork. This brilliant new documentary takes you behind the scenes, sharing the challenges, the highs, and the moments that defined their journey. Watch the documentary here ➡️

Every day, I make time to write. First thing in the morning, I clear my head and set intentions for the day. Then, before bed, I reflect. It’s a simple habit that helps me stay connected to what matters, especially on tough days. At the end of each day, these three questions help me reflect, reframe and refocus 📝👇 1. What am I grateful for? 2. What were the highlights of the day? 3. What did I learn today? It’s not about having all the answers or making every day perfect. Some days, the highlight is as simple as finishing a run or climbing into bed. But even on the hardest days, I find something to learn. Writing it all down helps me shift my perspective and turn even the smallest moments into something meaningful. How do you check in with yourself after a long day? 💭🌱

People assume I love running. Truth is, I don’t. It’s difficult, and I’m not good at it. But running has taught me something powerful: Small, consistent steps can lead to extraordinary change. It’s not about perfection - it’s about pushing through, even when the process feels hard and uncomfortable.

Such a pleasure joining my good friend @will_sarni to talk about the power of storytelling, collective action and driving systemic change. We discussed why water needs to be at the heart of everything we do and how each of us can drive real change. A fantastic conversation, well worth tuning into! 🎧💧🌍
𝗗𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗦𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝟮 starts today! @minaguli, Water advocate, Ultra runner and CEO of Thirst Foundation Foundation, talks to host @will_sarni of @WaterFoundry and the Earth Finance Company. You might know Mina from her “𝗥𝘂𝗻 𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲” movement, which began when Mina set out to run 100 marathons in 100 days. After she broke her leg at marathon 62, rather than end the campaign, a global movement of people sharing their stories and running for water was born. Mina has since run hundreds of marathons in countries all across the world and continues to build Run Blue to become the biggest global grassroots movement on water in history. High in Tajikistan’s Pamir Mountains, I stood on Glacier 69. In the Swiss Alps, I ran along the Moiry Glacier. In both places, I heard the same story: the ice is disappearing and water is disappearing with it. These glaciers are water towers for millions of people. They feed rivers, sustain farms and power communities. But every year, they are shrinking. In Tajikistan alone, thousands of glaciers are already gone. Scientists in Switzerland told me glaciers like Moiry might not last another 50 years. 2025 is the @UN International Year of Glaciers’ Preservation, a critical moment to unite and protect the water towers of our planet. As a local guide in Tajikistan told me: “The time for soft language is over. We need real action, and we need it now.” 🌍❄️💧
