@valentinavee You’ve said here the audiences don’t question it in a commercial. When did they start questioning it in films & tv to the point that widespread changes happened in lighting? Genuinely asking The only criticism of lighting I’ve seen is the modern ‘everything is dark’ kind.

@Cautious_Paws @defneorsomethin You should expect sex scenes based off the content, it’s not hard to know when one might appear, and they are as necessary as any scene, including a gratuitous eyeball stab or decapitation. You don’t NEED those either. Boobs are not shocking.

@Gracellynn6 @defneorsomethin The problem is these people ARE saying ‘no sex scenes in art’. That’s the line we are drawing. So you and I with our nuance are irrelevant to them. My reaction is therefore just as blunt as theirs - more sex scenes, yes please. Good ones, bad ones, dumb ones.

@Just_Harlequin @defneorsomethin Sex scenes are increasingly uncommon actually, and I see people being uncomfortable with it as a sign of a negative cultural shift towards conservatism, prudishness and self censorship. Sex is great and needs to be shown in its glories and it’s failures.

@Gracellynn6 @defneorsomethin Sometimes shallow is what you’re after. I’d much rather the people like the original poster being quote tweeted just moved on from things they didn’t like than actively saying art should have less of what they personally dislike.

@Zhane_Star With a stylised/cartoony art style we’ve been conditioned that more lines on face = older. While it’s more realistic I think it just comes down to our expectations of a cartoony style. I do think it’s weird to care that much at some extra lines. 🤷‍♂️
