@ChanceBaysinger The most likely move is within MLS to SJ or Dallas. Both teams want him but FCC has been holding out due to the offer from Argentina being outlandish. The suspicion is that the firm offering the money doesn’t even have it to pay. All that is from Bogert. Might have an update soon

@ChanceBaysinger I realllly don’t think he’s gonna stay. The club doesn’t want him at all, he doesn’t want to be here under that situation, and other dominoes in MLS are starting to fall today.

@DarthRyvn Sorry bud. There’s actually no hope for this 😂 on a better note. I think this upcoming team with Evander going thru, is the most talented 11 and probably depth that the team will have ever had.

Sooo Miami getting the CWC spot for the shield gave them an addition 2m GAM to spend this year.. just insanity.

@BryanWeigel Would buying out Santos clear anything?

@RBerrymore We will just have to agree to disagree on that. The championship is very overrated imo and Liverpool played almost no one. I do watch a ton of euro leagues so not at all inexperienced. MLS isn’t as good as the championship but the levels aren’t too far apart imo.

@PNWGary Bringing in Evander wouldn’t be the issue. It would be the Luca permanent transfer holding it back. We already have an open DP spot cause Obi is just a regular player now.

@johnny_fw_oh Obi is no longer a DP. We currently have 2 but aren’t sure how the cap is going to work. Might keep 2 or make Luca Orellano the 3rd to help with cap cost even though his contract doesn’t demand it.

@tkorfhagen They definitely don’t. LA Galaxy has players freaking out too rn for the same reasons haha. Puig and Reus both have complained that they can’t keep players

@tkorfhagen Hedebe had to stay to fill the left foot CB role. It was between Miles and Awaziem cause we don’t have nearly enough cap to keep both and have an attack.

@tkorfhagen I would’ve rather kept Awaziem instead of Miles for this reason. Cheaper and better passer. Playing next to Miazga would make him a better defender too.

If FCC can attract players like this to build this good of a team, the league should allow it. Don’t build the cap around Miami or LA, build it around aggressive mid market teams like FCC, Columbus, Nashville, etc.

@tkorfhagen Evander won’t be dropping deep if he comes. Bucha and Engle will have to do it. Miazga coming back will also make a HUGE difference from the end of last year. Bucha and Matt together were reallly good to start the year 2024. We fell off without Matt cause we couldn’t progress.

@FCCfanboy Feels like he only suits 1 type of game. Played his best last year but even then I was underwhelmed for 85% of the year. His hattrick inflated the goal numbers.

@thejohnrichert @BryanWeigel He deserves it but also, we deserve for him to honor his contract. It’s an unthankable job to be GM in MLS. The talent has blown past its salary cap level way faster than anyone anticipated I think. Everyone knew cap was low but it’s become an actual huge problem vs an annoyance.
