Hamilton literally taught me how to approach an adaptation from the ground up, and I listened to it on loop in 2016 while writing Bad Education. A master class in making seemingly dense / dry past events feel fresh, fun and relevant to how we live today. There’s NOTHING like it.

For my first two years in the WGA, I didn't qualify for any insurance/pension because I'd only sold feature specs -- which "don't count" toward the plan, even though I had to pay full dues on them. Feature writers need some kind of seat at the table to deal with stuff like this
