#USAID changes should not abandon those impacted by conflict & famine. But we must confront a glaring issue, an entire industry has emerged around aid 💰. For example, paying attendees/officials to show up 2 "trainings" creates perverse incentives instead of real #development.
@addisulemma @GetachewSS How would I know. I fear gravely for our displaced and war impacted citizens more than the technocrats in the city.

@solassefa @wossen1231 @alemayehuGeda Out of curiosity visited Abyssinia Bank for mortgage/auto loan info. Told it's not the best time to apply, could take years even post-approval. Interest rates fluctuate based on the Nat'l Bank rate. Decided to keep my USD. Apparently, this is the case at all banks.

Indeed the irony! The self-appointed guardian of intellectual property and data security, who once leaked national exams, is now lamenting ‘disgraceful theft.’ What moral high ground he has, it must be dizzying at that altitude!
