This past week has been very difficult for me with my younger brother passing away. I would really urge anyone who has any niggles or doubts about their health to go and get it checked out. The NHS is fantastic & dealing with issues early is so important. It’s a sad time. RIEP

Jaden was playing at the Westway when I first scouted him. He had a small frame but his technique & ball manipulation were outstanding for an U7. Unfortunately he wasn’t offered anything due to players being ahead of him at that age.

The credit for him getting to where he is and where he is going is to, goes to his mum Serita and obviously Jaden himself. They have had to be resilient with all the adversity he has faced and knock backs that he has had due to his size. Not many people have backed his ability.

People that have criticised Steve Cooper in the past have probably never seen him work on the training pitch with players. I’ve not seen him at first team level but know that when working with England he was very knowledgeable delivering very good information to players.

@TheSecretScout_ Luke Mbete wasn’t playing football when first scouted & signing in an academy. He came into system where no club knew about him at the age of 8. He could pass off one foot but strike the ball better off his other foot. His reading of the game with not playing it was very good

The film King Richard on Serena and Venus Williams is so interesting, definitely worth watching. An incredible story telling the story of where both Williams sisters came from since they’re childhood. The Williams sisters father comes across as quite a character.

I had left Brentford and heard he was looking for another club, he had trialed at Southampton and a few other clubs that didn’t take him until Aston Villa saw the player inside him. The rest is history now and this goal just confirms how good and what kind of ability he has.

It's a myth to think that a high number of touches in the penalty area is a good thing. if you do want to use it, then there is much more relevant info that needs to be provided with it to make it useful to indicate performance or even playing style.

Analysis like this is just ok… But it doesn’t tell you very much… the passes were where? Their own half, opposition half, final third? A team’s passing behaviour & tendencies and speed of play can be very different in the different areas of the pitch.

@SBunching This is good advice but don’t think this is the only solution. Write too much and you’ll be considered just a ‘writer’, posting too much is probably also not great. Try and get the balance write between writing (the theory) and the practical real world part.

I don’t actually think it’s that hard Saul, a lot of coaches just can’t see it unfortunately. It’s knowing what skills and detail players need for individual actions in matches is what good coaches like you see and then introduce it into drills (yes I said drills) 👏🏼

I’m not sure the point is that this age is too young for children or it is the children that don’t make it through the system and the issues it potentially causes.

@ArsenalHarmoni If there is any advice that I can give parents and children who dream about being football players apart from the technical, tactical, physical etc… is to have good guidance and good people around you in both the good times and the more difficult or complicated situations.

@ground_guru One PL GK’s this year conceded his highest numbers of goals from outside the area in his career this season, you can blame drop in performances which could be the case. Looking deeper his team conceded more shots, played in a lower block & pressed defensively in a diff way
