Indefinite Leave to Remain (settled status) was introduced in 1971 when annual net migration was NEGATIVE. With over a million people entering the country each year, the system is now clearly outdated. 2019 - 2024, 640k migrants were given the right to settle permanently.

This is an unbelievably poor interpretation of the population statistics. The fact official government forecasters actually listen to this organisation is terrifying. At least 70% of skilled workers coming to Britain take out more than they put in. Fact.
New @ONS population projections have revised up expectations of the working-age population in 2029-30 by around 400,000. If these are incorporated by the OBR, these should improve the economic and fiscal outlook, and reduce borrowing by around £5 billion a year by the end of the decade.

Our universities are now a backdoor for mass immigration, churning out hundreds of thousands of visas for migrants who simply want to live in Britain. If they actually wanted to study, many could do their course online and stay in their own country.
